2010-11 Avant Dance reopened in the summer of 2010 after being closed for almost 2 years due to an automobile accident. Reentering the competition dance circuit with new dancers, the company attended NYCDA, JUMP, and Showstopper Regional Competition in Houston. McKenna Tansey--platinum on solo at NYCDA Katie Gallegos--double platinum on solo at Showstopper "Satisfy" 1st place overall junior/teen lyrical large group (recreational division--first time to compete) "I'm Good, I'm Gone" 5th place overall junior groups. The dancers showed tremendous growth throughout the season.
